Once upon a time
The Jackal as Royal Messenger
Panchatantra · retold for families
About 3 min read aloud · For grown-ups and children together
Ministers needed a runner. The jackal volunteered, then opened each scroll and read secrets to anyone on the road.
Rivals learned battle plans before lunch. The king chased the jackal with a broom.
“I thought sharing was kindness,” yelped the jackal, dodging.
Messages were sealed with wax and given to a quiet deer.
Some jobs need silence more than speed.
